Drag Radial 2nd round of qualifying
#706 Michael Barry .492 on the tree with an et of 5.81 at 119.41 Mirchael holds the #1 spot with his 1st round run.
#348 Donald Zufall ..522 on the tree with an et of 6.00 at 112.42 earns the #2 spot
#32 Aavon Thorpe. 1.686 on the tree with an et of 6.45 at 119.42 earns the #3 spot
#1121 Chris Crusse .473 on the tree with an et of 8.53 at 53.72 his 1st round pass earned him the #4 spot. The Drag Radial field was now set and the fans found there way to the Stand. it would soon be time for the show to get under way and OPS were called to the lanes.

Outlaw Pro Street OPS Round 1
The Track was ready and the stands full of fans The Capitol crew ready the starter through up her hands giving the 1st pair of OPS cars the go to start their burn outs. The lope of Doug Farace Blowen chevy 2 could be heard change to roar as he dropped the hammer and came from the burn out box with a line of smoke drifting into the night air. Terris Hicks JR winds up the turbo and shoots from the burn out box. Both cars pull up and stage.Doug pulls up and you here the roar as he drops the hammer, Terris builds the boot on the turbo mustang and lights come down. Doug jumps out 1st with an .434 on the tree over Terris JR's sleepy .993 it will be Doug Farace to grab the win running an et of 5.20 at 134.40MPH over Terris JR's 7.01 at 102.31 MPH.
The starter again gives the drivers the sign to beggin there burn outs. Dave Tolly with his super charged Mustage drops the hammer and screems past the starting line with a hugh line of smoke
out from lane 2 comes Gee wiz Geneva Williams with her own trail of smoke both cars back at the line NOS vs super charger Camero vs Mustang. The cars pull up and stage and the lights

come down and its Dave Tolley who gets away 1st with a .493 over Geneva's .615 at the tree Dave keeps the hammer down and takes the win with an et of 4.89 at 145.17 over Geneva's 5.35 at 104.15. looked like team Gee Wiz was having trouble but Geneva is in good hands and has a great crew and will be back and ready for the next race.
James Houston is next out with a solo pass and he runs a 5.015 at 140.74. Next out was Chuck Ulsch also with a solo pass and chuck ran a 4.84 at 149.08 MPH and this pass got the fans going. Round 2 was going to be one of the best races of the night.
Drag Radial Round 1
With OPS getting the fans going it was up to the Drag Radial racers to keep up the great heads up racing. Michael Barry and Chris Crusse where the 1st to come out. When the lights come down its Michael who hangs his wheels in the air and gets the jump off the line and hold his lead to take the win with a .526 at the tree and an et of 5.792 at 119.44 MPH over Chris's 1.564 at the tree
with an et of 16.79 at 30.54 MPH not sure what happen to Chris on this run. Next out we have

Donald Zufall and Aavon Thorpe. Donald gets the jump at the tree but Aavon getting his best light of the night with a .672 and Donald getting a .553 made for a close heads up race with Donald taking the win with an et of 6.352 at 111.95 over Aavon's 6.253 at 120.77MPH
Aavon giving up .119 at the tree gave Donald the room he needed to grab the win.
Round 2 Outlaw pro Street OPS
The racing has been Great so far and the best of the best for opening night at Capitol raceway have come to the top and are now ready to cut it down to the tops two. 3 out of the 4 drivers have taken the win here at Capitol Raceway.
The Starter brings out the 1st pair Ford on Chevy both cars with NOS Lane 1. James Houston Lane 2 Doug Farrace James taking the win many times last year and Doug Forace started racing OPS at Capitol last year, Both Drivers pull to line and the lights come down and its Doug who get out 1st with a .440 on the tree over James's .493 James hang his wheels out past the 60 but something goes wrong and James gets into the wall walking to the top of the wall with a skate boarders move sliding along the wall and back onto the track on his wheels and a ball of fire cross the track and rest on the right side wall. Now as bad as this sounds the safty equipment did its job and James climbs out of his car and walks over to the safty crew. Talking with James he told me he will be back for the next race that he has what he need to fix the car and get it ready to race. Good Luck James and crew I see many long nights coming up for you guys. Doug goes on to take the win with a et of 5.14 at 138.67MPH. Time is getting late and Capitol needs to have the race over by 11:00pm so they need to get things Moving. The next 2 to come to the line are Chuck Ulsch and Dave Tolley when the lights come down its Chuck who jumps 1st with a .465 over Daves .476 but Dave has trouble and broke giving Chuck the win with a et of 5.01 at 140.14.
Drag Radial Final
Michael Barry's Camaro vs Donald Zufall's Mustang Chevy vs Ford the age fight who is going to walk away with win and th epot for the night but even more important who get the bragging rights of being the 1st DR winner for 2008
They pull to the line an its Michael who gets away 1st with a .494 over Donald's .524 Michael never looks back as he takes the win with an et of 5.78 at 119.13 over Donald's 6.042. The OPS Final never ran do to time.
